Chapter 27

Isabella's pov;

When I awoke, I was in Mr Martinez's embrace. Why are we hugging? Did he kiss me goodnight last night? I let go of his hands and slowly rose from the bed.

When I got out of bed, Mr Martinez rubbed his eyes and asked, "You woke up?"

"Did I startle you?"

"No, I got up by myself. How do you feel right now?" He motioned for me to approach him.

I sat in front of him and tried to place his hand over my chest. He paused and came to a halt.

"How's my heart?" I asked, smiling as he placed his hand on my chest.

"It's perfectly fine now," he said, holding my cheeks together, "and I told Mr Johnson to take care of your father, so don't worry about him."

"What if he comes back?" I asked, touching his hand.

"Did you forget how I protected you by blocking him away from you last night?" he tapped his biceps.

"My knight in shining armour," I said as I patted his head while smiling at him.

He kissed my cheek and stood up from the bed, saying, "OK. Get ready. It's time for your colleg
