He was smiling mischievously and my heart was beating like a drum.

When we got to the kitchen, I turned on the light and went by inertia to look for the bowl where I remembered I had put it, but when I opened the shelf, it was gone.

I looked at Ethan suspiciously and he was smiling innocently at me.

I started looking for the bowl with the other cookies all over the shelves, until I saw that it was on the highest shelf in the kitchen. I scratched my head in confusion, I didn't remember putting it that far away.

I stretched as far as I could, even stood on my tiptoes to try to reach it, but got nothing but a male chuckle broke the silence of the kitchen.

"Okay, there are the cookies. Don't eat them all. "I turned to face him and he came toward me, grabbing the cookies easily.

He placed the bowl on the table and grabbed one, tasting it.

"Did you make them, really?"

"Yes, with my friends. Why do you ask?," I reached over and took a cookie too, taking a bite.

"Because they're delicious
