Broken Promises

Iris was going back and forth over whether to tell Donovan about her run in with Cal.

Would it actually help anything or make matters worse? She wasn’t sure, but she did want him to know that Emile couldn’t be the one who was harassing Donovan since Cal had turned his sights to Emile.

Maybe that would make him feel better.

“Everything okay?” Donovan asked as he watched Iris get ready for the party.

“Yeah, sorry, I’m just a little frazzled.”

“About what babe?”

“Well,” Iris nervously ran her fingers through her hair.

“Woah, what happened to your wrist?” Donovan hopped off the bed to examine her wrist more closely.

“That’s kind of what I was going to tell you. I was out with Emile the other night-”

“And he did this? I’m going to beat the fuck out of him! I told you he was no good!” Donovan exclaimed.

“No, it wasn’t him! We ran into Cal and he and I got into it and he kind of hurt me.” Iris whispered.

Donovan’s perfect jaw clenched. “I’m going to fucking kill him!”

“Calm down Don!”
