Chapter 31: Broken

Grace walked aimlessly. Her skin still stings, and her body is tired. She was literally kicked out of the house with her cell phone and ID alone. Of course, with a broken heart too. How could Evelyn just stare at her unmoved like before? Is that what you call love? If that's the definition of love, then Grace doesn't want to love anymore.

Grace had lost track of time. Maybe she had been sitting there for hours without knowing the direction. She could have returned to her old apartment room if it had not been rented out to someone else. It wasn't that she didn't have any money, but it would take time to take care of the cards that Evelyn's father's bodyguards had confiscated. She now has nothing.
