Chapter 55

I was exhausted and drained. I had been locked up in one of the guest rooms and had been banging on the door and crying for help for almost three hours. I don’t think I had any more strength or willpower.

I sniffled and sat down behind it on the floor. My throat hurt from yelling and crying so much. And the growing headache that I had only seemed to make things worse.

My arms had red bruises on them from when I was being held roughly by Sterling. They had a burning sensation but that was not what I was worried or concerned about right now.

I also did not have my phone, it was taken away from me, along with anything in the room that I could use to contact the outside world. So now, my only hope was for my dad. I was praying that he would come through for me.

It irked me that he was taking so long. All he had to do was get a gun. He was a very successful businessman, why would he take forever to acquire a weapon? Unless…he wanted to get it the legal way.
