CHAPTER 27

"Daddy, daddy, aunt Meg." Nancy and her sister ran and hugged their father and then greeted aunt Meg.

As their hands intertwined and encircled their father's legs, everywhere went silent.

Zach shut his eyes and breathed in and out heavily.

He missed this. Heissed his kids. It had just been a few weeks, but Zach felt like he was away from his kids, his wife, for a long long time.

No doubt Zach loved his family. Everyone knew this, even grandma Lois who stood there contemplating what was going on.

Megan stared into Lois's eyes, but she quickly threw them away. She could not face her.

When Meg was still very little, Lois always paid her mother a visit along with little Kristien. Overtime, the two girls grew strong bond and became the bests of friends.

On the night before Kristien got married to Zach, Meg kept crying, telling her not to go away. Getting married would simply separate them.

While Kristien tried consoling her friend with a hug, she percieved a farmilia
