Meanwhile, Evina tried to work on her tasks at hand. She refused to listen to her inner voice telling her to quit and just move on to another job. This time she wanted to face the situation upfront, hoping that she would not experience relapse again in her life.

Her head felt dizzy as she was having problems sleeping at night. She felt like she would fall down anytime, with stress and depression overlapping in her mind every second. She was struggling to be as quick and efficient as she used to be so she could go home early and rest from the malicious eyes of her colleagues.

It was still early, so every minute seemed like a day to her. Even Gabriel seemed cold to her. She didn't know how long she would stay like this before she ran away again.

As she was sulking, a cup of coffee landed on her table. It was from Cynthia. “I hope this helps give you energy somehow,” she smiled at her as she lifted her eyeglasses closer to her eyes.
