Chapter 17~ A debt

Oliver was still fuming about seeing Claire talk to another man when he received unwanted visitors in his office.

“Mr Ford, I hope we are not disturbing,” Adam Hart said as he entered the office with his daughter, Jessica Hart in tow.

Oliver frowned. He threw a glare at Thomas who secretly shook his head indicating that he didn’t allow them in. Looking at the two, Oliver responded curtly, “You are disturbing. I don’t receive visitors without an appointment.”

Adam laughed it off and invited himself to sit in the visitor’s lounge. He suggested, “It won’t take long. There’s something I wish to discuss with you.” He then gave Oliver a once over and remarked, “How long has it been since we saw each other-”

“A few weeks. You always attend the board members' meetings. Why are you really here?” Oliver questioned, feeling irritation bubble up within him at the way Jessica was giving him googly eyes.
