44. Little Temptress
A week later, Elisa took Audre to her new school so she could help her settle in.
"You are a big girl now, so behave yourself. Make lots of friends," Elisa said and kissed her on the forehead.
"I will," she said.
Elisa knew she had nothing to worry about. Audre was a social butterfly.
She was surprised when she saw Ansel at home waiting for her. She didn't say anything for a while and just stared at him.
He took his suit jacket off and had his shirt sleeves rolled up while he worked on his laptop. He was laser-focused, so he didn't hear her come in at first.
She looked at his arms moving as he typed and started to get flustered. Something about those veins in those muscular arms on men turned her on. She snapped out of her trance when he looked up and saw her.

Ansel had been watching Elisa, and he knew she wasn't going to stay calm. He needed to do something before she broke down and did something she regretted. "Of course, you may take your woman. Sorry about separating you two for so long," Michael had said. He had a smug smile on his face. Ansel wanted nothing more than to beat him to death, but he controlled his anger. He needed to remain calm and calculated for Elisa's sake. Michael walked away, leaving Ansel and Elisa alone on the dance floor. Ansel pulled her closer and swayed with the music while she kept her arms wrapped around his neck. "Are you okay?" he whispered. He held her against his chest. "No," Elisa said and rested her head on his shoulder. He felt her trembling slightly, and his chest tightened. He never felt like this about a woman before. He thought he was madly in love with Jessica, but as the time passed by after she left, he was able to erase all of his feelings toward her.
