Lonely Days

Weeks went by without me stepping out of the mansion, into the hot arms of the sun, I could barely move anywhere without my husband asking me to take at least one bodyguard by my side and we would drive to wherever I was going, I didn't walk under the sun and I felt so drained by this habit. I didn't know if it was just a sign of the deep roots of poverty in my blood or the fact that I wasn't fully used to this kind of life, after taking my bath, I quickly ate breakfast alone before my stepchildren and my husband woke up from their beautiful slumber, it was kind of awkward that the same people who are old enough to be my age mates suddenly turned to my stepchildren.
