Forty-first

- Hi son, how are you? - Robert didn't understand her excited tone, after all it had been over a month since Barbara had apologized to him for abandoning him for so long and then simply disappeared again without proving any interest in helping her own son. He wouldn't go after her at all, not that he wished she would come and stay with him, but the way his parents didn't even bother to ask him if he was okay was just further proof that shows how much they don't care.

- I'm doing very well. What do you want? - He was short, but he didn't lie. Since Linna had moved into his house he hadn't even had time to think about his problems with his parents, sure, some nights it bothered him but it was irrelevant to him. Robert knew that he couldn't have any control over it, and if he did he wouldn't make a point of using it.

- Goodness son, what's with that tone of voice? - Barbara really felt hurt to be treated that way, she hoped it was okay.
