Let her off the hook after marriage

"Why don't we go out for a walk," Wayne suggested.

Kaylar saw no harm in his offer and agreed to go for a walk with him.

After putting on their coats they strolled in the garden without saying a word to themselves.

Kaylar was admiring the flowers which were of different types and colours. The garden had an aesthetic look to it.

"When am I going to meet your family?" Wayne casually asked as he sat on a bench.

"Whenever you want" Kaylar shrugged her shoulders as she sat on the bench too.

She twirled a white flower between her fingers which she plucked a few minutes ago.

Wayne watched her without saying a thing.

He didn't know what to say, the only topic he could think of was work-related and he told her a while ago not to report to him at home.

The silence was turning awkward.

"When did you meet my mom?" Kaylar asked the question that had been hanging on her mind after the night Wayne mentioned it.
