As Wayne ended his discussion with Officer Johnson, he turned to Chad and said, "Stay behind and inform me as soon as Joshua gives you feedback."

"Yes boss," Chad nodded, understanding the importance of the task.

"As for you," Wayne turned to Susan and said, "Find your way back to the company."

Susan smiled crookedly and replied, "Don't worry about me, I'll manage."

"That's good," Wayne said. He then headed straight to his car, settling in comfortably for the ride. As the car started moving, Wayne couldn't help but feel a twinge of anxiety. He really hoped he could get to the hospital in time for Kaylar's ultrasound. It would be disappointing if he couldn't make it.

As the car weaved through the busy highway, Wayne let out a sigh of exhaustion. Running a successful company was demanding, and personal matters added another layer of stress. He combed his hand through his hair and leaned into the car seat, momentarily closing his eyes.

The sound of the car engine began to lull Wayne into
