"Ouch." Hera turned her head to her right side in pain. Her head was aching so badly that she almost concluded that it was being used for sacrifice. Her eyes slowly opened to the new environment that she was in. She stared at the ceiling blankly for a few moments before looking sideways. Beside her was the monitor, which meant that her head wasn't used for sacrifice but was banging hard because of something else. She was in the hospital! "Ouch." She mumbled again. Looking at her left-hand side, she saw Zach spiraling across the sofa provided there. He was sleeping and snoring peacefully. His shirt was left unbuttoned but only a few buttons were left undone. What happened? Why was she in bed? Suddenly, she felt the urge to use the toilet. Her head was bandaged and so were some parts of her body but she could still lift herself, bearing the pain as well. She looked at Zach one more time, was she going to interrupt his sleep? No, it would be bad for her to do such a thing. She should
The next morning, the noises from two people woke Hera up. She squeezed her eyes shut due to the sudden brightness but after her eyes had accustomed themselves to their surroundings, she slowly opened her eyes once again only to see Austin laughing at Zach's clueless face. She managed not to make a sound so as not to disrupt their conversation. "What? This is cheating." Zach pouted and Austin scoffed. "No, it's not. I only made you say the figure eighteen without you actually realizing it so I am the winner. Hurrayyyyyyyyy." Austin said joyfully and jumped on Zach who still didn't feel pleased that he was played by a young boy because he knew mathematics. Like come on, he was a businessman who calculated a lot of figures daily. Hera's heart warmed up seeing the interaction between the two of them. The door was suddenly opened and Anna entered with a white plastic bag. She was wearing her usual casual wear; a plain yellow shirt and blank pants. Anything could go with black, this wa
"How is this possible? It doesn't make sense. What about the security?" Blake immediately after they entered Zach's office. The latter took off his jacket and hung it around his chair before sitting down on it. He turned it around to face the desk.Earlier that morning, the news had come in that one of the branches of their businesses was burnt down by some unknown people. It was already on the news and it was badly affecting Zach and his father. They had been receiving calls about it, what they were going to do and what was the next plan. The branch was considered one of the most important parts of the whole Young Corporation. "I don't know. It still doesn't make any sense. The cops are on it and I was told that it doesn't seem that it was bombed. I guess it's from within." Zach answered. His phone lit up and within a few seconds, his father's call came in for the third time. He had purposely ignored his calls because of the pending issue but now, he had no choice but to answer the
Seeing as the tragic incident had happened, Zach decided to go to Country F for a visit. This was way out of his schedule however he had to go. He preferred that Ben followed him because of the stress that he would go through but Hera offered to go with him voluntarily with the excuse that she couldn't just be denied her right to work all in the name of 'SICKNESS'. Zach was a bit concerned but happy because this would give him the time to get closer to her and maybe win her heart if possible.Hera was waiting patiently at the private airport of the Young Family with a pleasant smile on her face while opposite her was Ben with a smug look instead. She didn't want to involve in something that she would call childish but then childishness was somehow fun all the way. Zach finally arrived, wearing a brown overall coat and white pants. He had long boots to match his appearance too and also black sunglasses even though it was already evening and there was no sun in the open.Hera admired h
Anna had already put Austin to sleep and was applying her skin care products for the night. Beside her was her phone that was playing one of the famous artist's songs and she would sing alone occasionally as she looked at herself in the mirror while applying the products. Someone then knocked on her door, she stopped singing to listen carefully. She thought it must have been her imagination and continued with her routine but then the knock came again but this time with a bit more force. She frowned and glanced at the clock. Who the hell was that? It was eight in the evening. She paused the song and stood up from her seat. Anna pulled the chair backward before heading to the door to answer it. But before then, she looked through the hole provided for security means and then at the camera by pressing a button. It revealed a man with his head bowed down. He was wearing a black jacket and his hand was placed on the wall. Anna's frown turned deeper as she didn't know who it could be. A st
As soon as they walked into the place, Hera was perplexed. How rich were he and his family? She didn't want to show herself as a novice or to be perceived as that so she tried her best to hide her expression but she failed terribly because Zach's eyes lingered on her expression very well. "Is this the sitting room?" She asked him and Zach nodded as he turned on the heater to a normal temperature. The sitting room was wider enough to accept a hundred people. There was a large kitchen at the side of it and then a dining table inside it. There was a big TV screen in front of Hera, she identified it.The television was of the latest model and was made of transparent glass. Her mouth was wide open as she followed her heart in checking the new environment that she would be living in. Looking around, she could see the outside world from the sitting room. The flowers...lights... swimming pool... everything else. She was amazed. "Isn't this somehow an invasion of privacy? What if people se
"Do you even understand me? I guess not. Listen, Blake, I am sick of such an attitude. Set things right, okay? I have always been living my life in perfect calmness and trouble-free way until you come back. You ruined everything and then I am still trying to make things go back to the way they were but you are making things harder than they ought to." Anna shouted as she walked out of the room.Blake was leaning against the wall, with a confused expression. He had tried speaking with her after her arrival from Austin's school but she was being headstrong and didn't want to listen. "I am sorry." He replied. "Can you at least stay away from me and act professionally both in the office and outside of it? Saying SORRY doesn't solve anything. I want to live my life in peace." She retorted and folded her arms against her chest.Afterward, she pointed at the door insinuating that he should leave. "Are you sure that you do not want to see me disturb you anymore?" Blake asked her, there was
Hera slammed the door shut as soon as she was out of the car with Zach. Along the way, she had fixed her eyes on certain spots and she was glad to have been able to remember a few paths. They were standing in front of the damaged branch of the company. Hera gasped. It was burnt down brutally. Who could have done this? It had turned into a crime scene for the cops to investigate and because of that, no one was allowed in until their arrival. The place was a bit dusty and light smile due to the burnt could be seen coming out from various spots in the building. There were also some reporters trying to picture remnants or any other fresh information that they could.Zach had come in through the other side so it was hard for them to figure out that it was him.She glanced at Zach however the latter's expression was as solid as a rock. He walked ahead of her towards the scene. There were two men dressed in uniform, they were the cops in charge of the case.Immediately they saw Zach, they bec
