Defying boundaries!

"Mummy, I am asking you a question. How can I solve these arithmetic figures?" Autumn tapped her mother softly on her lap where she was sitting, trying to show her the problems that she was finding hard to solve in her book.

"Hmmnn," Ava answered absentmindedly without looking at her daughter, with her eyes fixed on a space with an intent gaze. She was far gone.

"Mum," she called again and again, but no response.

"Mummy. This is the fifth time I've called you. You are not answering me," Autumn groaned while tugging against the dress that Ava was wearing so firmly, "Mummy!" She yelled again.

"Oh, mine. I am so sorry darling. What do you want me to do for you?" Ava breathed out as she turned to her daughter with apologetic eyes.

'She had spaced out again!'

She wiped her lips repeatedly to her face and scratched her hair, as she tried to look through the arithmetic figures that her daughter was trying to show her in the book.

"I am sorry baby," she said again and collected the book
