Jayne’s words made Elaine feel hopeless.

She was not in the mood to bother if her request was too much, but she only knew that Jayne, who had been protecting her at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, no longer cared about her life or death.

Elaine was anxious as she sat on the bed alone and watched Jayne and the other two pack up their personal belongings. She felt flustered and frightened.

After Elaine was apprehensive until noon, the prison guard returned to the cell.

After the roll call was over, she said to Jayne and the others, “Have the three of you packed up all of your belongings? Your lawyer has arrived. You can follow me to go through the formalities now and prepare to be released from prison.”

Jayne nodded and spoke up, “We have already packed all of our belongings, and we can leave now.”

“Okay.” The prison guard said, “Come with me.”

With that said, the prison guard was about to take Jayne and the other two inmates away.
