17. A Day With Him

I'm really hungover from last night and the little werewolf healing I have, did nothing to take away the headache.

I quickly texted Annette to call in sick for me at the front office, at the Surveillance Academy. After that, I went to the kitchen to check for something to eat, to hold in the painkillers I took.

“Thank the goddess! There's coffee.” I muttered, pouring myself a mug and taking a long sip.

Beside the thermos where the coffee was kept, a note was left for me.

It read, 'There are some brownies in the oven. Heat them up if they are cold by the time you wake up. Love, Annette.'

I smiled. Annette was always so considerate and she was made to be a Luna, to me, no one else fit that role but brownies won't get me going for the rest of the day but I'll eat those and make some noodles if I'm still hungry.

I got the brownies out of the oven and took my mug of coffee along, to my room. I brought out my laptop and began coding. After working for hours, my stomach rumbled.
