Decoding the Past
Listening to the conversation with Skelton was both frustrating and a little creepy. Not only did the man sound like he was crazy, very little of what he was saying made any kind of sense at all. Even with the entire leadership team sitting around the conference table, poring over every bit of information, dissecting every word, going over the conversation ten times didn’t make any of them feel any more confident that they had any idea why the old man had taken the risk and showed up on campus to begin with.

The streets of Budapest were emptier than usual. It was nearly 1:00 in the morning, but this part of town was generally populated by people out looking for a good time or enough booze to drown their sorrows well until the early morning hours. Eliza backed up further than he had. Her legs were shorter, after all. With a deep breath, she hurled herself forward, building up speed as she went and lifted up off of the ground, swinging her arms forward for momentum. The toe of her boot clipped the top of the fence, shaking it slightly, but other than that, she made it to the other side with no problems and landed a few feet behind Sergio. Through her IAC, Eliza could see the situation shifting outside. Andor was proud of himself, his head tilted up at the sky as he laughed, Sylvester’s ashes raining through is fingertips, and two more newbies were going down at the hands of Sergio and Mila, but around them, those shadows Eliza had found suspect earlier began to move. There was really only one direction for Eliza to choose, and though it would put her in a precarious position once the creatures caught on, she had no other choice. With a deep breath, she backed away from the building and then took her best vertical leap, landing on the slanted overhang above the window she’d just broken.With no time to spare, she ran to the top of the building and down the other side where she could better see her teammates.
