Mariane walked out of the fire exit and headed to the waiting area where Anastacia and Jacob were waiting for her. While David followed her from behind. From a distance, Mariane saw Anastacia talking to a nurse who was holding a paper. She could clearly see her mom looking devastated while talking to a nurse. Anastacia’s shoulders fell as she looked into the paper. As Mariane got closer, she noticed that the paper Anastacia was now reading was a statement of account.

“Mom?” Mariane called her attention.

The nurse excused herself and exited the scene.

“M-Mariane,” Anastacia stuttered as she tried to hide the paper of the statement of account she was holding.
