Ch91 - Scars

Months have passed, and Mariane did nothing but come in and out of the hospital for her walking therapy and her monthly schedule for the follow-up check-ups for her facial reconstruction. David was always on her side while he was sending and picking up their son to his school and taking care of his company altogether. David was as tired as hell! Like he could only have four hours of sleep. And could have an hour of rest while waiting for Mariane’s walking therapy.

Marian had just come out of the room, and her attending nurse was pushing the wheelchair she was riding in. She had just finished her walking therapy when David was seen sitting on a chair in the waiting area, his eyes closed and looking exhausted. “David, I told you. You don’t have to accompany me every moment I need to come here.” Mariane heaved a sigh.

“You know I can’t let you come alone.” David shook his head.

“But look at you,” Mariane looked at him like she was disappointed, but she was not.
