My gaze remained fixed on the men standing in the moonlit clearing, their expressions unreadable as Blade started to look around out of nowhere, his head yanking in all directions as he looked alarmed, as if somehow, he could sense me staring at them. I couldn’t tear my gaze away from the window that had given me this shocking view. My hands trembled as I was holding on to the mug, and my breath came in short, shallow gasps.
