Monica sat next to William, casting her gaze over the table, and she noticed that there was no scowl at her, no angry scoff, as if everyone had decided not to pay attention to her. Martina was also missing from the breakfast table.

“What a fascinating start to the day!" After giving it some thought, Monica picked up the teacup and surprised William by pouring him some tea. His gaze shifted to her, and he noticed she was staring at Katherine. He understood the woman was pretending to be good with him.

He took a piece of toast and spread butter on it when he heard Monica sigh, "The kettle has run out of tea!"

A maid quickly fetched another tea kettle and set it next to Monica while bowing.
