Hades couldn't help but rub his eyes every now and then as they began to burn in the air from the lack of sleep. He glanced his desk to the watch just sitting at the corner of the room and it was just around noon, hardly close to their closing hours.
He wasn't given that much work, but he couldn't sleep on the job. Not after he turned up late. Otherwise his uncle would degrade him, and he wouldn't want that. It was just embarrassing.
He rose the coffee mug to his lips and took a small sip, sighing out as the strong taste of black coffee rolled on his tongue and down into his throat.
Lilith would probably love a coffee...
He thought to himself as he took another sip and glanced towards the door.
She's probably tired too.
He nodded to his own thoughts and got up from his seat, placing his mug down and walking towards the door as he made his way to the elevator. Once in, he quickly tapped the floor leading to the in-door café, a café just for the employees in case they skipped breakfast and had to get to work on time. It was a large building of course, with countless floors and branches. But there were only two floors just for the cafeteria, an in-door restaurant, and the café. The rest of the floors were just offices, each floor rising according to position.
The door to the café opened and he stepped in, walking straight to the woman who seemed to be dozing on her spot.
"One hot chocolate." Hades said out, alerting the woman who quickly nodded and turned to the machine. "Heavy cream, milk too. Sweetened." He explained and the woman nodded as she tried to complete the drink as fast as she could.
Luckily for the staff, some things in the café and restaurant were free and very limited. So even if you had a free meal, there wasn't much to choose from.
"One hot chocolate," the woman smiled and placed it onto the counter. He slid the bill to her and took the cup, walking back into the elevator.
He tapped on Lilith's floor number and sighed as he leaned back against the walls, waiting for the doors to open. He glanced down at the cup, knowing too well Lilith was probably going to give it to her friend as he noticed before. But even though he found out, he still went on.
The doors opened and he stepped out and into the floor, of course, as usual, he caught a few eyes from the offices with their walls unsealed. He simply ignored them and got to Lilith's office. He knocked softly against the door and waited for a moment but didn't get her reply. He quietly opened the door and peeped inside the room, only to notice she was fast asleep on the couch.
Stepping into the office, he quietly closed the door behind him, not wanting to wake her up and walked to her desk where he placed the cup. He sighed out as he glanced around the room until his eyes fell on Lilith.
He made his way to her and squatted right in front of her, watching as she remained unaware of his presence while deep in sleep with in face, simply admiring her beauty. Her long dark lashes, her red lips, her nose. Her brows...
He took in every single detail before sighing out heavily and standing up.
As much as he would have wanted to reach out and stroke her cheek, he would only make it weird if she woke up. He shifted his gaze down her neck, taking in her large chest size, down to her small waist and wide hips and then her smooth slender legs.
Compared to how she was as a child, she most certainly grew twice the times of her features.
So he thought.
He pulled his jacket off and draped it around her, knowing too well she wasn't going to return it and that he would just come back for it later after closing hours. Probably find it on the couch or hanged on the door handle outside, since she locks her office, just like everyone else.
With a slight nod, he turned and left the room, heading back to his office.
"Okay." His uncle sighed out as he smacked his hands against the table, getting Hades to glance up at him in confusion. "At least tell me she's just playing hard to get.""It took you the entire day to figure that out?" Hades sighed as he folded his arms to his chest while sitting across from him, sitting on the waiting couches since he had finished his work a while back and decided to watch his uncle work.As though that sounded normal in the least."It didn't take me that long." He shrugged his shoulders and flashed Hades a grin to which he eventually rolled his eyes to."It's freaking, 8:45pm, Gary." He sighed out as he run his hand through his hair."Aren't you going to escort her home?" Gary asked as he raised his greying brows at him, watching his nephew frown slightly before meeting his eyes."She probably left a while back." He shrugs his shoulders and leans back into the couch. "I'll just find my jacket hanging by the door or on the floor when I go pick it up after.""That m
"So, what's the task about?" Lilith sighed as she closed the menu once they were done ordering their food. "Is it about the new recruits?""Um..." Hades cleared his throat as he leaned back to his seat and glanced around himself, watching a few couples here and there and some business meetings here and there. It wasn't too fancy but enough to keep away from noisy children and loud music since Lilith assumed it was for business.Little did she know."Well... Yes." Hades nods just so Lilith wouldn't get up the moment he says his Uncle lied. "It's about them. He was asking if you could pick ten from them, who would they be and the reasons why." Hades cleverly said as he nodded to his own words.Lilith pouts her lips for a moment, stuck in thought as she glances up at the ceiling, thinking carefully who it could be."There are in fact a few I know are the best. There's Jane Millet, Frank Woods, Christen Parker, Gwen Holland, Vincent Jacobs, Lorain Lamber, Troy Williams, Dexter Harbor and
Lilith watched as Hades left the place before reaching for her phone and dialing Ethan's number as she got up from her seat and grabbed her bag. "Where are you?" She asked once he picked up as she began to walk towards the door. "I went back to the studio. You can meet me there." Ethan said on the other end, getting her to sigh out as she pushed open the glass doors and stepped out. "Okay, I'll be there in a minute." She said before ending the call, hardly giving him some time to reply. She walked past Hades' car just as he got in. She glanced down at her phone once more, checking her emails, only to find it flooding with warnings from her director. She had missed a lot of lessons because of work. She tried to explain it to him, but he didn't want to listen and blamed her for slacking off. This time she was an hour late but can still make it. Or else she would get fired. She stopped at a stop sign and began to wave at the taxis speeding by, rushing with their last clients home
The moment Hades made it back into his house, he walked straight into the kitchen, heading for the cupboard just above the sink with all the alcohol his friend had collected since the past weeks. He grabbed a bottle and instantly pulled the cork right off before chugging it down, only to choke when it burned his throat, causing him to stop instantly. A deep sigh escaped his lips as he walked towards his couch, dragging his feet along with him.He threw himself back onto the couch and leaned into it, feeling himself sink right in. His lazy gaze trailed around the room and towards the photos of his roommate and his girlfriend on their countless vacations around the world. The largest photo of them both sat just above the small empty fireplace, staring mockingly at him. It was a photo of Morris and Nora deep diving with a dolphin right beside them, both grinning at the camera as they hugged the dolphin.Hades could only hear it from them since he never tagged along despite having Morris
Struggling to peel his eyes open, Hades could only feel the sharp sting of his head throbbing inside of him from all the alcohol he drunk the other night. He leaned from the couch he had slept on all night and glanced around himself, only to spot Morris sitting cross legged on the floor in front of him, staring intensively as he crushed the many crisps in his mouth."What time is it?" Hades asked as he reached his hand up to his head, stroking his temple."Eleven." Morris replied as a grin spread across his face, noticing Hades' horrified gaze."Why didn't you wake me up!?" He hissed as he stood up, only to flinch and fall back."You seemed tired." Morris shrugged his shoulders as he crumpled the bag of chips into a ball after finishing it. "Plus your hungover doesn't seem to be leaving anytime soon.""I have work you bastard." Hades rolled his eyes and sighed out as he leaned back into the seat. "My uncle will murder me if he finds out I'm skipping work because of a hungover.""Call
Hades sighed out in boredom as he walked towards the door, feeling the starvation roam his stomach. He reached the door and reached out for the handle, opening it fully with an irritated expression when he stepped back in shock as his eyes landed on Lilith's brown gaze.He sent Lilith? Hades thought with wide eyes as Lilith stared back with raised brows. She didn't seem to be coming from work, she was dress in a white dress printed with sunflowers here and there."Oh... Hi.." He trailed off when she furrowed her brows at him and glanced around, seeming confused. "Did my uncle send you?""Yes, otherwise I wouldn't be here." She said as she glanced back at him, getting him to frown a little. "So, are you going to let me in?""Oh." He stepped aside and smiled slightly, knowing she somewhat still wants to be around. Knowing the usual Lilith, she would have most definitely just given him whatever his uncle sent her to give. "Sure come in."She nodded and walked past him, entering the large
The 'until i eat the cupcake' had been long forgotten as she leaned into the sofa with the blanket wrapped her body as her bright brown eyes stared head on at the movie playing on the screen. It had been over an hour since she had arrived but Hades could not shake away the feeling of excitement having her close to him. She didn't retaliate when he offered they had the snacks while watching tv and it gave him a few green lights. She was sitting on the same couch as he was, except, she was sitting at the other end while he sat on the other end as well. Her long dark chocolate hair scattered around the chair with her shampoo after-scent perfuming the air around him. The scent was a soft cucumber, something natural and soft to the nose.Other than her hair is her vanilla scented perfume, it wasn't too strong or mild, it was just enough to catch his attention and want her close to him.He refocused his stare towards the movie, trying to get at least what they were saying. When he was hardl
Hades stared up at the mirror for the hundredth time, trying to fix his hair as the sky around him only became darker by the minute. He was waiting for Lilith who was getting ready for the party. After they watched the movie together, they just had lunch from the meals she bought for him, because even he wouldn't be able to finish it all by himself, and Lilith just didn't seem to feel like leaving. So he tried his best to make her eat as slow as possible, bringing up random jokes that she clearly didn't laugh to but still listened to him nonetheless. But despite his efforts, she still left him right after the meal and he decided to drive her home himself, since she didn't come by any car.Because she didn't have one.He asked her why she wanted to leave despite knowing too well she wouldn't spend countless hours with him even if she had nothing to do. She had told him she needed to do something strictly important and private before the party the next day.It wasn't her acting lessons
