19- The Countryside

“Then, I am coming,” tinuran ko na mas matapang pa sa asawa ko’ng matigas ang ulo.

“No, you’re not. Let them be and you have a meeting today,” biglang banggit ni Dad kaya napalingon ako sa kaniya dahil muntik ko na makalimutan at iwan ang meeting na mayroon ako today.

Can I cancel the meeting? I would like to ask him that but I know kung ano ang sasabihin niya kaya naman I had no choice.

“Don’t worry, son, you will see your wife tomorrow,” nakangiting wika ni Mom like she is thinking that I would miss my wife while she is gone.

Yeah, she bet.

Fine. She can go to the countryside with Mom, but she have to keep me updated or I will come and get her myself.

After the breakfast, I go to my wife's room at tatlong malakas na katok ang ginawa ko to get her attention, at ilang saglit lang ay bumukas na ang pinto. When she saw me ay kaagad nagkasalubong ang dalawa niyang kilay, why am I not surprised.

"Can I come inside and I have a word with you?" sambit ko without intended to argue with her.

"
