Anticipation

Third Person POV

As Danny finishes up with the paperwork he had in front of him, he makes a beeline to join Layla for lunch.

His smile widens as he sees Layla laughing away as she talks with his secretary, Jenny. It was one of the only things that could content his heart in the middle of all the troubles that had been laid out before him. He still doesn't understand why his grandfather had left him ahead of everything in his place. He never felt like an adequate person for the job, despite his best friend Shawn telling him otherwise.

He goes over, kisses Layla on her lips, and smiles when he sees that she had already picked out something for him to eat. He sits next to her and begins to wat, talking away and laughing with his wife and secretary.

But little did he know that while he enjoyed a meal with his wife, someone was about to add more to his plate.
