(Willow's POV)
No matter how hard I tried to look for Jordan, I never succeeded. Nobody seemed to know him at all and it became frustrating.
Two weeks and I heard nothing from him. I tried to take his advice and move on, get a job but I couldn't bring myself to do it. All I wanted was to be with my kind and it wasn't fair that he is depriving me a chance.
I tried to do it myself but I almost died yesterday. It was harder considering the fact that I have no one. I can't even open up to my new best friend and it is killing me.
I felt anger. I felt disappointed.
If I can't go to Jordan, maybe he will come to me.
The last time I shouted his name, he appeared.
But I have tried that already.
I went to the river eight times just to shout his name but he never came. I even looked deep in the woods but nothing!
The only difference was that I was in danger and it was dark.
Just maybe, if I scream for help in the woods at night, he might show up.
But what if I get into real trouble?
At this point, I really don't care. If he shows up, I won't let him go unless he gives in and helps me.
Looking around the river, I quietly leaned against a tree cautiously aware of my surroundings.
I'm about to do something crazy and I hope Jordan won't hate me for this.
I silently prayed not to run into a dangerous wolf that would tear my skin apart and feast on my flesh.
"Help!" I shouted.
No, that didn't sound real.
"I need help!" I screamed trying to put some emotion in my voice. I really need to sound legit.
"Help!" I cried and Jordan leaped out from nowhere.
He looked around and his eyes finally settled on mine.
Oh no!
The look in his eyes shook me to the core. He was furious and completely mad.
"I'm sorry" I said walking to him. "I know you said I shouldn't come here again but I needed to see you" I begged.
He roughly slammed me to the tree.
"Why don't you ever listen!?" He asked through gritted teeth.
"I just wanted to talk," I said, feeling the pain on my arms.
"Don't you ever do this again!" He began to drag me away but I pushed him off.
"You're hurting me!" I sniffed. "Wait! Just listen!" I pleaded. "Please! Just one more time!" He grabbed me again.
"I will not be responsible for whatever happens to you the next time you come here" he warned.
"I don't want you to be responsible but if you don't give me another chance, I'll keep on coming back until you listen" I replied but he didn't stop.
I angrily took off my necklace and that stopped him.
"Put it back!" He pushed me to the ground. I tossed it into the woods. "What have you done!?" He tried to look for it.
"You won't find it...argh.." I fell to the grass.
"I'll look for it" He angrily started searching the bushes. "You are unbearable! You never listen!" He said.
"If you'd listened" I painfully growled. He will never find it.
"You'll feel this pain until I find that necklace," He replied. "Or better still, I'll take you home. No, I'll take you to the pack house. No!" That was the first time I saw him worry.
Is he really worried for me?
He resumed looking for it while I wailed in pain.
I suddenly felt my shirt tighten around me and my sweatpants became too small.
The cracking of my bones sounded in my head and the pains shot up my spine like I was in a furnace.
"Argh!" I screamed. I couldn't see clearly but Jordan quickly turned to me. He slowly walked to me.
"Don't help me!" I gritted my teeth as tears rolled down my face.
I took a handful of the grass but my fingers grew out. I felt my toes painfully grow out too with the snap of my shoes.
"Oh my God!" I breathed.
Jordan only watched. At a point, it looked like he wanted to help but I believe he listened to me.
My skin shredded. Thousands of lightning shot through me. I was on fire.
I felt my fangs, my ears and before I knew it, I was standing on all fours.
Everything looked different. Like I was looking from different eyes.
When I looked at Jordan, he seemed different. He is normally distant but this time felt like he was trying to fight something. He took a step backwards and deeply breathed like he wanted to stay away from me.
Is something wrong with me?
He was battling something within him. He made fists with a distasteful look on his face.
No, I don't want him to abandon me. I need him now more than ever.
If only I could speak.
His jaws were set and he maintained his composure but after a brief frown, a slow smile snuck past his face.
He walked to me and went on one knee.
"Finally" He simply said and I felt his fingers in my fur. He spotted my necklace beside me and picked it up.
"Really?"
Yeah, I tricked him.
He guided me to the river but I tripped a couple of times before I got the hang of it.
I never knew what walking on paws felt like but it wasn't as hard as I thought.
Looking at myself in the water, I wished I could gasp.
My white fur was beautifully complimented by the moonlight.
It made me wonder what Jordan looked like.
My fangs were beautiful and my nose looked cute. My eyes remained black and I felt awesome but one question kept ringing in my head.
'How the hell do I shift back?'
I sniffed the necklace but Jordan shook his head.
Communicating as a wolf is really difficult.
"You are never wearing this again. It won't shift you back. You have to learn or you'll remain a werewolf forever" He shrugged.
Hell no! As much as I love being a werewolf, I don't wish to remain one forever.
"Now you need to channel that same energy into shifting back to a human. Think about your fingers, your skin, your hair or anything that makes you feel like a human" He instructed.
It was accepting the pain at first and yes, I did accept it alright but now, it is thinking about being human?
"I can't help you" He patted my fur.
My hair, fingers, skin.
How will that help me?
I closed my eyes and envisioned myself.
"You did it," I heard him say. I felt the grass on my skin. The hair on my body stood due to the cold breeze and my nipples hardened.
That was when I realized I was lying naked in the grass.
(Willow's POV) I felt his eyes as they bore into my skin. I quickly sat up and hugged my knees to cover my breasts. Why won't the earth open and swallow me? I wished I could disappear. I didn't dare look up because I was pink with embarrassment. What is going through his head? Is he looking at me or looking away like the gentleman he is supposed to be? I gathered enough courage to look up and he was staring right at me. My heart jumped to the pit of my stomach. He didn't say anything and we just locked eyes. I couldn't read his eyes. "Have the decency to look away" I glared at him. "Nothing I haven't seen before" He casually said. Was he for real? "I can't go home like this" I tried to shield myself with my hands but it was useless. "Get up" He ordered. I blinked and waited for him to make sense but he just stared back. "W...why?" I stammered. "I can't go home like this, '' I repeated. "Okay then. I guess you'll be spending the night here. I'm leaving" He took a few s
He looked out the French windows with a pen clicking in between his fingers. His current investigation failed and he is stuck. Regardless of how hard he tries, it always leads to a dead end. "Jordan" A man with brown eyes walked in. "What's new?" Jordan swirled his chair to face his beta and friend. "We have nothing" The man replied with a slight bow of his head. "And Willow?" "She is at the river, as usual" "You left her alone? You know she should never be alone" Jordan stood up. He knew he couldn't trust Willow to be on her own. It's either she seeks for trouble or trouble seems to find her so he had to keep a close eye on her. "Don't you think you should bring her here? She is a werewolf" Japh said. "She doesn't belong here. Not every werewolf stays with its pack. Do you know how many wolves choose humanity over their wolf?" "But she wants to be here, that's the difference!" Japh exclaimed. "I know what's best for her because she doesn't know it," Jordan replied. "A
Willow couldn't tell what was happening because she was blinded by tears and speechless with fright. Two of the men shifted but Jordan didn't.One moment she was crying in a corner, the next moment, Jordan and a brown wolf bashed in tossing and stabbing the three drunks who tried to rape her.Jordan looked straight at her. His eyes filled with anger as blood dripped down his hands. As much as she was glad that he saved her, she dreaded going close to him. Something wadded her off but she still found herself wrapping her two shaking hands around him.Japh shifted and put on some of the clothes he found in the cabin. He gave Jordan a cloth to clean his hands. She quietly cried on his chest and for a moment, he let her until he painfully grabbed her arm."I regret ever looking for you" Jordan growled and dragged her out. Japh cautiously followed them."I just wanted to…""You didn't have to do anything!" He let her go with a slight push. "You are a problem!""We need to keep moving guys"
Willow stared at Jordan. He just stood at the door. No expression and no movement. His eyes shifted to her body and back to her face again. Willow cursed herself for wearing his shirt. "Hey Willow" Japh walked into the house. "I'm Japh. Jordan's beta. I couldn't introduce myself earlier due to…" "I understand" She finally took her eyes off Jordan and followed the other man in. "Are you alone?" He hardly looked around. "Yes. Um...They are all out" She said, trying so hard not to look back at Jordan. "How are you?" Japh asked. Willow smiled when she saw the genuine concern in his eyes. She wished Jordan was more like Japh. "I'm good" She said and watched Jordan from the corner of her eyes. He finally walked in but moved as far from the both of them as possible. "Well if you need anything, let me know. I want to help in anyway" Japh slightly tapped her on the shoulder. "Thank you Japh…" "You are coming with us to the pack house. You need to inform your mother right now" Jor
Willow looked around the room.It was bigger than Iris's room and it looked okay to her. Everything was set and neat. The room consists of a bed, side table and a comfy looking wingback chair. The bathroom was connected to a walk in closet and the bathroom windows overlooked a beautiful view of wherever she was.At some point, she thought she'll be living in the woods and eating fresh meat but this is completely comfortable and perfect, too perfect!"Until you receive instructions, don't leave your room. Here's your key" Star said with a straight face and tossed the key at her."Thanks" Willow caught it. "And thanks for showing…" The door slammed shut. "... me around"Willow threw herself in the bed and wondered if everyone's room was nice like hers. This is a new beginning for her. She quietly vowed to do her best and make herself proud."Most especially Jordan"Willow jumped when she heard the voice again."Who are you?" Willow looked around. What is following her? Is she talking to
Jordan and Star chased after the wolves who took Willow. There was nowhere to escape so they were captured and Jordan didn't waste time sinking his teeth into their throats when they refused to provide important information during the interrogation. "I told you to triple your defense! We cannot have them attacking us anytime they want!" Jordan furiously said to Star. "I'm sorry" "I don't want your apology! I want you to do as I say" He walked to the window and watched some wolves clean up the blood on the training grounds. "Star did triple the defense. I think their strategy is to keep attacking until we are weak" Japh said. "If you are so good at strategies, why don't you put that to use and prevent this from happening?" He took a deep breath. "We have pups here. Nothing can happen to them!" He turned to Japh. "Take the pups to Woodville. They are better off staying there. This place is no longer safe for them. Whoever is attacking us is mainly focused on Willow. Star, nothing s
Willow walked to Jordan. "I was just taking a stroll with Japh," She said to him. "Jordan" Rowan called with a smile. "Rowan" Jordan replied but turned to Willow. "Aren't you supposed to be training at this time?" "Isn't too early..." "Go" He ordered. "Can you walk me back?" She asked Japh who happily left with her. "I just brought my boys out for a run" Rowan moved closer to Jordan. "How was Jamaica?" Jordan asked. "It was more receptive. And the Storm Riders?" "Good" "Well, gotta run. See you around Jordan" Rowan saluted with two fingers and shifted disappearing into the woods. Willow walked into his study. "What?" He looked up from his desk. "Why did you force me to come back here when I have nothing to do?" She asked. "Nothing to do? You are a fucking guardian wolf! You know what that means? You are to guard the pack not roam around with strangers" He hit his pen on the table. "He isn't a stranger. You and Japh know him" "He is to you" "Okay fine! I want you to
Iris looked from her friend to Japh. "Werewolf?" Iris frowned. Is this some kinda weird dream? "Yes" "Like in the movies?" Because none of these made any sense and there's no way her friend is a beast. "You just saw everything," Willow sighed. "I did. But I was hoping it was just a dream. You...turned...into...werewolf" Iris panicked. "Look at me" Willow held her arms but Iris pushed her away. "You are a werewolf!" She exclaimed. "So you lied about New Jersey" That wasn't even important. The fact that she is a freaking werewolf should be the main focus here. "Calm down Iris. We are harmless" Japh moved closer to her. Willow's heart melted by the generalization. Japh sure knows how to make her feel good. "You know I won't hurt you" Willow sadly said. How would she even think she's capable of hurting her? Is that how humans see werewolves? "What about these wolves who attacked me earlier?" She looked around. "Trespassers. They invaded our territory and that's why we a
