Sixty six

Hailey had learned a lot of things from her previous life but the only thing she had failed to learn was baking.

It was weekend, A bright Saturday. Hailey was seen at the Brown’s Kitchen whipping the eggs with half already spilt on the kitchen cabinet , The whole kitchen was in a hot mess, messed up flours mixed with eggs were laying carelessly on the cabinet. Every noble ladies would had been taught how to bake since childhood , Tara was surprised at how Hailey was so poor in baking.

“Did you by chance skipped class or something? Tara glanced at Hailey awful face.

Hailey was quiet for a minute.

“I didn’t get to live with the Lincoln. I had lived at the orphanage with poor facilities. They couldn’t afford a comfortable bed and I had slept on worn out bed for years before the Lincoln came for me, How could they possibly afford baking class?” Hailey said effortlessly.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know about that. I didn’t mean to hurt you” Tara rumbled feeling really apologetic.
