Twenty seven

Hailey stepped out of the car as the driver pulled into the garage, and she settled on the marble stone floor. As she approached the mansion's door, the servants working around the lounge greeted her.

"Welcome home," they said.

She smiled and greeted them back before stepping into the lounge. To her surprise, it wasn't Mrs. June working there, but Nolan seated on one of the sofas. It caught her off guard, causing her to pause momentarily. It was the first time she saw him without his wheelchair, except for the other day in the room.

Nolan sat upright, his legs straightened rather than dangling, giving the impression that he could walk. It was impressive how he maintained composure, making it difficult for a stranger to discern his condition.

Hailey watched him quietly, captivated by his presence. He was undeniably handsome, but what truly stood out was his air of cool confidence. He exuded calmness and stability, seemingly unfazed by anything.
