Louis suddenly collapsed to his knees on the carpet, buried his head in his hands, and his vision gradually became foggy. He had no idea that her withholding the truth from him was done so to keep Louis safe. But he had mistreated Keira for five years in a terrible and unfair manner! And he had always felt that what he was doing was right. Even though his palm hurt from repeatedly striking the ground with a clenched fist, it was nothing compared to the pain in his heart. Being nurtured by his parents as if he were their own son, he felt ashamed of himself and unable to forgive himself. They would be disappointed in him for becoming a selfish, foolish, and cold-blooded male if they were still around.
