Chapter 15: Turned Down

I followed closely behind Lois. She casually turned the knob to let us into Scralett's house.

“Aren’t you going to knock?” I asked, surprised that Lois felt so free.

She spun around to look at me, her waist-length hair slapping my chest. “Are you for real? Knock? I have been here like a thousand times. I’m no stranger.” She closed the door after I got in.

“Even though.” My voice was low. I look down at her. “She should know we are here before we barge into her house.”

“She already knows, Bryan. Stop being to civil…I don’t like arguing with you because my head hurts when I do.”

“Do I make you talk too much?”

She sighed from defeat. “No.” she spanked my belly. I made a low growl and laugh. “That’s because you’re so tall. You make my head hurt by staring up at you during arguments.”
