Aeron jolted awake from the nightmare, his heart racing and sweat coating his skin. He gasped for breath, his mind still reeling from the vivid images that tormented him.

In the dream, he had seen Myra, his beloved, drowning in a swimming pool. Fear had coursed through his veins, and he had sprinted to help her, only to be stopped by a sudden, searing pain in his chest. As he turned, he was confronted by Augustine, a twisted smile on his face and a gun pointed at Aeron. "Time's up," Augustine had sneered, aiming the weapon at Myra. But before the shot rang out, Aeron had woken up, his body drenched in terror.

As he panted and tried to regain his composure, Aeron suddenly heard Myra's voice echo through their mindlink, a panicked scream that struck fear into his heart. Without a second thought, Aeron bolted from his bed and raced to Myra's home, never pausing to knock as he burst through the front door.

"Myra!" He called out for her, the urgency in his voice betraying his f
