Khalid POV

Today promises to be a good day, I could feel a new sense optimism envelop. I could tell something good was coming my way.

I couldn’t remember the last time I woke up feeling this good, as far as I could remember, each time I woke up, My heart was always burdened with one thing or the other.

I felt very reluctant to open my ears, I just wanted to remain here for a while because opening my eyes Meant I had to deal with a world where Aaron was and I wasn’t ready for that just yet.

“Wait, Aaron???!!!”. I screamed as my eyes jolted open.

My senses began working at a fast pace trying to put the pieces together.

Last I could remember I was at the town square, where the very people I once trusted had subjected me to a merciless onslaught.

These were individuals whom I considered my own, individuals who professed love for me, individuals who had sworn their unwavering loyalty and devotion to me.

I could even understand to some extent why they had chosen to betray me.
