Chapter 46

Five in the morning, Henrick’s alarm woke him up from his deep slumber. Irvin was still on his shoulder, arms resting on his waist. He watched his chest rise and fall on every breath that he takes. For Henrick, Irvin looks way more attractive when he is not stressing out. When his brow doesn’t furrow and his eyes crease as the tears escape and fall down through his cheeks. If only he can shield away all the problems to keep him in his safe zone, Henrick would probably make it possible.

He reached out for his phone that rested on the bedside table, and shut the endless uproar of his alarm without breaking the embrace. Henrick intentionally set the alarm way too early than he usually does. Last night, when Irvin already drifted to dreamland, he changed his seven AM alarm into five for his plan. His right hand carefully scooped Irvin’s head and slowly took away his left arm underneath it. Making sure that his movement won’t wake the sleeping beauty besides him.
