Chapter 1 (short story)

Ava Brown knew going to her husband's office was something she wasn't supposed to do and it might even make him hate her more but she wanted to. She wanted to see how big and wide his office was that he loved spending all his days there.

She wanted to see how busy he always was that he never waited to eat at home all because he wanted to go work. " Don't be so surprised. Let's go. " Ava said as she winked at Lewis and turned to walk out of the kitchen.

" But, Madam, boss won't like it. He might..." Lewis tried to convince Ava but she only smiled gently before walking out of the kitchen. Lewis knew a lot about Ava Brown's and Harvey Dankworth's loveless marriage and most times, he had even tried to comfort Ava whenever Harvey acted too cold to her.
