Ava was given basic training for the first week in the company and her full work would start the following week. She would go out for meetings with Mr. Olive in the morning and returned to office in the afternoon for her training and it had continued like this for a week already. Ava had grown close to Mr. Olive during this one week and she knew he already trust her enough for her job. They would go out for tea before she left work and they would at times talk as if they were close but Ava always made sure she wouldn't cross the line with him and most times, she respected her professionalism and made everything in a professional way while also luring Mr. Olive to trust her more. " But the issue now is that the man seems to like flirting. I thought he was a responsible man but I don't think that's true. " Ava mumbled as she and Amy settled over a coffee at a shop near to her house. Amy nearly choke on her coffee as she slammed the coffee cup on the table and looked
Ava nodded her head along with Amy's advise as it was the best thing she could do at the moment. She had no idea how a man would fall for her at first sight even though she fell in love with Harvey at first sight~ " What else am I supposed to do?" She requested and Amy fell in deep thought. " You can't push him away. You can't make him realize you don't have a thing for him because we so much need his acknowledgment for this grand plan to really work. You need to make sure he favors you but you also need to make sure you don't let him touch you. Don't permit any touching from him or anything that might give him the feelings like you are his toy." Amy explained. She carried her coffee cup and dropped a bit away from her~ " Make sure he doesn't take advantage of you. Put yourself so high while also gaining his trust big time. You know who your husband is, right? He will never forgive you if news about you dating him gets out and there is no way it won't if you make him beli
Ava drove down to the company with her car the next day. She had a lot on her mind but she knew very well, more than anyone else that this job had to come first and there was nothing she could do to win Harvey over anyway. If he had loved her from the beginning or made any attempt to love her, it would have been easy for her to plan to win him back but he never tried loving her and Ava felt like he never for once thought of loving her and he even seemed to be stopping himself from attempting to. She stopped in front of the company and entered. She checked her time and she sighed when she realized it was still 6:30am; 30 minutes earlier than her resumption time~ " Is this how much I feel uncomfortable at home these days? I really miss when he would talk to me, scold me and at times, insult me. I don't know if I'm losing my mind or anything but I prefer when he insults me than when he doesn't say anything to me at all. At least, I was sure he knew I existed then but now,
Harvey was taken aback when he heard Lewis talk to him that way. He had never showed any of his workers so much levity that they would have the gut to look him in the face and speak anyhow to him but Lewis not only scold him but also questioned his stance? Harvey hated it when someone butted in his life or try to get too nosy with him and that was why he was trying all his best to work harder so that he could stay far away from his parents and live his own life. His hands dropped and his mouth hung open! He looked around him as if he wanted to find who Lewis was talking to but he realized he was the only one in the room and he shook his head. " No... No... That wasn't for me, right? I mean... you weren't talking to me, right?" He asked with a very calm voice. His voice was so calm that the whole room turned extremely cold and anyone with him at that moment would have to try harder to not turn to ice! Lewis covered his mouth! He hadn't planned to say anything but he wa
Harvey shook his head and smiled " Like I said, she is a no go area for me. I can't have her to myself. " He mumbled and cocked his head to the side " Hey! Luke, what about you? Don't tell me you did not see any pretty girl back there in Canada?" He asked with a smile on his face. Luke blushed. He rolled his eyes and stood up " Don't change the matter here. We were talking about you and you just want to change the matter like that?" He replied and walked over to the door. " I will be outside. Let me know when you are done with whatever you are doing so we can go out and have some fun." Luke said and left the office. Harvey nodded his head and returned to his laptop. He had a lot of work to do but he knew he had to round everything up for his friend whom he hadn't met in a while. After an hour, Harvey picked his phone and dialed his Secretary's line. The call rang a few times before it was finally answered and he cleared his throat ~ " Postpone all meetings t
Ava was sitting down, attending to some files when she received a call from Mr. Olive, telling her to prepare herself as they would be going out in an hour. It was surprising to her but she couldn't say a word and could only respond with Okay. She checked their schedule and realized there no was meeting scheduled in an hour time so what was Mr. Olive going on about? " Where are we going? Don't tell me he's going to make me something else other than Secretary job? I'm already tired of all these things that I must sort out, I really don't want any extra work." Ava cried. She had been working so hard since she got to the office this morning. The former manager gave her a lot of her pending works to finish with the one she was supposed to do for the day, everything became so much for her that she was starting to hate Secretary job. She had drank more than four cups of Coffee and she only stopped when her co worker told her it would affect her health if she drank too mu
Ava was excited to hear about the welcoming party but what really excited her the most was the fact that it would be in the day and not night. It would have been troublesome and almost impossible for her to go if it was night as Harvey wouldn't sit still and let her sleep out for a whole night or come back in too late. " I thought welcoming party are mostly done at night. Why do this company do theirs in the day, instead?" Ava whispered into Des ears as others were busy planning on how to round up their things and go for the welcoming party. Des smiled. He looked around and smiled again " Even though I don't know why boss wants to go with us for the first time, I will make sure to enjoy this party along with a lady that is close to the same age as mine." He mumbled and turned to face Ava. " Eva, You asked a question just now, right? Was it about the reason we celebrate the welcoming party in the day and not night like other companies?" He asked and Ava nodded. " I too w
" Why am I like this? What's wrong with me?" Ava mumbled out loud as she stared at her trembling hands. Des also noticed it and he was confused but also worried. " Why is that? Are you okay?" He asked and Ava shook her head. " I don't know what's going on but I feel somehow. Something is definitely wrong but not with my body. " She replied. Des covered his mouth and chuckled. " If something is not wrong with your body, it might be that your heart is the problem then. Maybe it's because I'm here right beside you that your heart can't help but beat so loud. You must like me so much because I can hear your heart beat clearly in my ears right now. " Des boasted and slapped his chest. " You see, this happens often especially when the girls are pretty. Pretty girls tends to fall in love with me wherever I go because I'm so good looking, hahaha!" Des boasted more and laughed. He liked to brag a lot especially when he realized there was no other handsome guy around except
