The next day, in the doctor's office.

I was sprawling silently on the seat with my head leaned on the headrest, my fingers drumming rhythmically on the table, while I was waiting impatiently for the doctor.

Meanwhile, Cassandra sat on the seat beside me, she was fidgeting her fingers on her thighs nervously.

"Mother..." A whisper eluded from my lips, and I latch my eyes as I dragged in a shaky breath.

Never in my life did I ever believe that I will ever be concerned for her in such an immense way. I mean, considering the fact I detested her and don't want to have anything to do with her.

Last night, right after I stepped out of the kitchen and ventured towards the dining, I had heard Cassandra disorderly scream and I found myself dashing upstairs.
