Unnoticed by everyone else, I was at the entrance of the packhouse, surveying the grounds from above the stairs but the Alpha has never been like ‘everyone else’ so it was no surprise when I discovered that his eyes were already on me—like he’d been waiting for me to walk out the door all this time.
