My dramatic departure was short-lived. Before I knew it, Xavier grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder. He growled and said, "You won't take another step without me."

No, enough was enough. Now I would defend myself. I pounded his back and yelled, "Put me down!" That didn't impress him at all, because he carried me on without any problems.
