"What are you grinning about, Zhemier?" Pixie asked, looking at him with her brows drawn together.
"What would you do if I die so suddenly? Would you cry, Mira?"
"What absurdness are you blabbering about? We all know how strong and capable you are! And no! I would not cry one bit!"
"Is that so?" Kenshi chuckles. "What if I told you that I had given a human something that could really hurt me."
Pixie stopped walking and squinted her eyes at h
Every after the shop closes, Mizuko trains at their usual spot just to summon an arrow. Unfortunately today, Blue can’t come nor can Miranda because she has a meeting to attend with all the other witches. It has been a while since they started practicing but she’s still bad at it. She can aim when steady but when her target is moving, she isn’t able to hit it, well, not yet.“He should have just given me an ordinary one,” Mizuko mumbles, sitting on the ground full of leaves. She heavily sighed looking at her beautiful bow. “Why is it so difficult to do it?”Three times, she almost summon an arrow three times but as it assembles and glow, it enchants her and she loses focus. The arrow would snap and fades like smoke. She would stomp her foot, and cry about losing it. Miranda and Blue would then tell her it’s okay but she knows it’s not okay. Kenshi will sure laugh at her when he sees how she has been.
At the east side of Pinress the borderland, Nozumo’s gaze wanders around, looking for the sign the rightful King of Hikari had left him. Surprisingly, instead of a sign, the prince had shown himself and he had fallen into his knees.“Your highness,” he greets, not daring to look at him. “It is dangerous for you to be out here meeting a spy like me. You could’ve left a sign, your highness.”“Kenshi had found my sister and I have the mage’s news. He came to my sister, she sensed her energy.”“I have seen the mage’s death but forgive me for I could not recognize your sister, her highness. The witch’s water had became blurry before I could recognize her.”“Rise, Nozumo, you need not to apologize.” And so he did. “How is our Kingdom?”“They keep guard at the borders. The king had ordered Yushiro to execute the demon crown prince. They say they wer
“I like you in both ways, Mizuko.”Mizuko would toss and turn in her bed whenever she hears his voice. That sentence, Kenshi’s reply to her question is stuck on replay in her head. The awkward part was that after he told her that, she had run away like an idiot. She dare ask him the stupid question and now that she heard his reply, he went home running. That’s the stupidiest thing she could ever do and she did it.“I am so stupid!” She took a pillow and cover her face, shouting her heart out. Why must she run away?!And suddenly, she heard a knock on the her door that made her stop and stare at it for a second. Then, she abruptly stand up to get the door, opening it.“Will you help me with dinner, sweetie? I am afraid I have a visitor and I need your honesty with my cooking.”“A visitor? Is Kenshi coming?” she asked, eyes wide. In every second that passes, she coul
With his power, Kenshi opened a portal to the other world known as Chikyuo or as what Mizuko calls it, Earth. He looks around and changes his clothes like those of a guy who crossed the streets. Baggy clothes and jeans that feels sticky. It isn’t his type but he wanted to explore the city since he will be living there for a few months or weeks if he feels bored. Kenshi never adored Earth and the mortals who lived there. They were unhappy despite having much than what humans have in Souzou. They have technologies and their lives were easier and still they are never happy.Humans only appreciate what they have when it’s too late and it’s gone. It is their nature. Demons he know of appreciates everything they have and never regrets anything.
As soon as Kenshi was done, his golden eyes were once again open. Now that the puzzle is complete, he is feeling the need to do something about it. “That little trash had escaped, eh?” Kenshi displays a lopsided grin, resting his cheek on his palm. “It is my fault after all.”With a heavy sigh, he stands up and started walking towards what he believe is Mizuko’s room. It smelt of Mizuko. He isn’t always the type to check other people’s stuffs but he would like to know how she was living here. Mizuko’s room was not so tidy, not so organize and her blanket was just tossed somewhere. Her mirror on the wall had photographs glued to the sides. An old lady was with Mizuko in almost all the photographs. She had this
Kozuko keeps thinking about his sister and Kenshi’s words. If he breaks his promise to Kenshi, two life will be lost and he can’t afford to lose the demon crown prince’s life. He does not know to what extent Kenshi is capable of but he knows it will always be his lost if he dare defy Kenshi. He has seen it before, the dark place where Kenshi’s demons hide. Confusing enough, there was not only demons there, there were from the light too. White wings glowing as bright as the sun and he could not see clearly what it was. The crown prince of demons can easily govern everything but why does he want everyone to treat him like he is to their level? Isn’t it good to suppress your people? Doesn’t it feel good to be that powerful and design the world like how you want to be in your mind? But why K
In the kitchen, Mizuko is all out in her honesty with Miranda’s cooking. She isn’t the one cooking but it’s almost her anyway. She has no idea why but it is her that is panicking when it is just Kenshi. “I never saw you so worked up in the kitchen before.” Miranda noticed how she’s fast and careful with slicing. “I wonder if it is Kenshi. Hmm.”“He knows I am in the kitchen and he knows I taste your cooking. If it’s bitter or too sweet he will blame it on me!”Miranda softly chuckles, stirring her soup. “I think Nozumo is coming for dinner tonight.”“Was it your guest the other night?” Mizuko asked and
It’s a bright morning and Blue is on a hide out with Yushiro. She is supposed to be with Mizuko practicing but then she was called in for a very important mission in Pinress: to find out where these deformed demons came from. These shuffled beast keeps crossing their borders and they are getting harder to contain. They suspect that Yami could be experimenting and the deformed ones are being sent over to Hikari. “If only we could cross over,” Yushiro muttered. “Why don’t we cross their borders, master?” Blue suggested. “That’s defiance, Blue.”“But doesn’t th
