Kenshi was quick to arrive at the site where his crystals told him but Mizuko wasn’t there anymore. Then he suddenly felt a sharp dull pain in his chest, enough to make him crinkle his nose.

“If you were just here a little sooner, master.” Hikari’s voice was soothing like his mother’s.

“Destiny has its own timing. It’s not mine to decide,” he uttered.

“I bet you won’t be able to sleep tonight without seeing her,” said Yami with his teasing voice.

“If so then I’ll have to see her then!” A big grin displayed on Kenshi’s mouth that had their eyes round.
