The Only Reason

Evan saw Adrian holding his wrist in the middle.

"You were only welcomed here to talk to my wife, Mr Evan Davis," Is all he said before throwing a vigorous punch on Evan's face, throwing him on the ground.

"And I think my wife has gotten done talking to you, so you can see yourself out of this place now," He offered a fake grin at Evan, whose mouth was bleeding after his abrupt hit.

Evan got up on his feet and gawked into Adrian's barbaric gaze.

"And yes, you were wanting more money. Weren't you? So tell me how much more do you want?" He asked, casually.

"Tell me, Mr Davis. Don't feel shy to tell us the level of your hunger for money?" Adrian smirked and Evan scoffed.

He got up on his feet and then rubbed the corner of his lips which was bleeding.

"I want an additional 5 million more," Evan announced, shamelessly, causing Adrian to chuckle.

He tilted his head a bit and looked at Melanie who was staring at Evan entirely startled and still shocked.
