Elisha’s POV

Arman didn't want to talk to me, it was as if he wasn't the same Arman I had married. His guys led me down the vacant basement and then abandoned me there, leaving me to stew in confusion about what had happened to Arman. Why does he treat me with such hatred?

"Arman! I didn't kill your mother! Please, you need to believe me!” I was banging on the door and crying loudly as I tried to open it, but no one heard me. It felt like everyone had left me there, and I was all alone, with no one to talk to.

Arman was the only person I could count on, but I guess I'm on my own now and the only one who can save myself from danger.
