**** Mirabel sat down on a couch in the study doing nothing, she has been sitting there for almost an hour now 'Did he call me in here to come and do nothing but stare at him?' she mumbled inwardly. Axel who has been busy with some files ever since had almost forgotten about her presence, he rose his head up from the files when he heard her clear her throat, probably to draw back his attention that she was still there. He had called her for a reason but he became occupied and had forgotten about it. Axel picked up his phone from the table and answered it as a call came in, the person from the other line of the call said something which resulted in Axel rubbing his hands on his forehead before opening his mouth to speak "Meet me in the basement" that was all he said before he ended the call. Axel stood up from the swiveling chair and glanced at Mirabel "We are heading out" he uttered as he walked to the door "Huh? Together? Where are we going to?" Mirabel asked a row of questions.
Mirabel who has been sitting and staring around the room suddenly gave a loud yawn which attracted the eyes of the men who sat down going through something. Except for Axel who didn't glance at her as he typed away on his laptop "You are bored," he questioned the obvious. Mirabel felt like rolling her eyes hard at his statement, but she restrained from doing so because of the gazes on her "Yes, I'm bored, why did you even bring me?" she said boldly. Dave, Lucas, Marcel, and John who were working together on a file glanced at her amused by her tone and guts. Although they already had a hint that whoever would be beside their boss wouldn't be someone easy, this still came as a surprise to them. They immediately went back to what they were working on, they would prefer to stay deaf and invisible to whatever was happening. Axel swiveled his chair and glanced in Mirabel's direction with a brief smirk "Is that so?" he stood up from his seat and made his way towards the door "Follow me, a
"Mirabel, Mirabel" "Huh? What?" Mirabel was pulled out of her train of thought as she heard Charlotte call out her name and tap her shoulders. "I should be asking you what's wrong. you've been spacing out ever since you came to work today, are you okay?" Charlotte arranged the books on her table and glanced at Mirabel with a worried look. "Oh yeah, I'm okay" Mirabel rubbed her palms on her creased forehead. She honestly doesn't know what is wrong with her, whether it was because of the workload she had piled up or because Axel has been ghosting her presence throughout the week, ever since the last Sunday they went to the basement. Shrugging the thoughts off her shoulders, she picked up the scripts on her table. "What's the time?" she checked on her phone, it was already noon so she quickly arranged her things "Bye, I have work with Senior Ivy now" She dashed off the RAAH Department and went straight up to the drama auditorium. Mirabel arrived on time to see Ivy walking into the hal
****SCOTT MANSION** "Mom, Dad, I'm going out, I won't take long, I need to visit a friend" Sofia who was walking down the stairs uttered as she saw her parents in the sitting room. "You know you shouldn't be going out, right? you are still recuperating, can't you stay back and visit this friend tomorrow? or some other time?" Mrs. Scott inquired with a worried look on her face. "NO," Sofia said immediately, "it's not that far, so, no worries, I won't take long before I come back," said Sofia, to make her mom reason with her. "You can go, but make sure to arrive back home before the clock hits seven, I mean my words," Mr. Scott said sternly permitting his daughter to go. "Thanks, Dad, I'll be back home very soon, goodbye Mom" Sofia scurried her way out of the house after receiving the permission she wanted. She knew her parents were worried because of her health condition that's why she had to promise them that she would arrive back early. Sofia entered the red car which was for he
"It would be better if I don't even cross parts with him again, 'cause if I do..." Mirabel received a call from Arabella when she just arrived at Gold Fox early Monday morning. Arabella had called to inform her about her afternoon flight and that she wouldn't be in the country for the next two weeks. Their conversation ended up drifting to the topic of how Arabella's pride was marched on. "Are we still on this again, Ara?" Mirabel cut her short as she asked. She was in the RAAH preparing her things to go to the auditorium for acting. "Of course, we are still on this. Well, not till I get my sweet taste of revenge" Said Arabella from the other line of the call. "Hmm? I'll advice you to not go extreme with whatever plans you are brewing up" uttered Mirabel, walking out of the RAAH to head upstairs. "Yeah, yeah... I know. I just hope I don't cross parts with him again" muttered Arabella. "Later then..." Mirabel said before she hung up the call. She was focused on the screen of her p
Mirabel took her bag and headed out of the RAAH after work hours were over and the employees were leaving the company. On her way out she saw Charlotte heading in the same direction, walking back to the RAAH. "Aren't you leaving, yet?" asked Mirabel as they came to stand in front of each other. "I'll be out in a few minutes, I just have something I need to check on at the RAAH before I leave," Charlotte said and received a nod from Mirabel "So? How was the play? had fun?" Charlotte inquired, she was acting in a different movie so she wasn't to be included in the one Mirabel was acting on. "Yeah, it was okay," said Mirabel with a smile. "Good, mine is kind of tiring though. And oh, do you know Senior Ace is playing in the same movie as yours?" Charlotte questioned "Huh? No... I didn't know" Mirabel said with an oblivious look which made it obvious that she had no idea about it. "Oh, maybe it's because he hasn't attended any of the rehearsals that's why you don't know. I think he
Back in the company. "Fuck" Charlotte cursed under her breath when the call suddenly disconnected but she realized it was because of the network, she couldn't call back again as the problem was from her side. Charlotte used her torchlight to glance around the room, she meant it when she said she hated darkness. She had always been scared of staying alone in enclosed dark places right from when she was young, years back. She took a deep tiring breath, rested her back on the wall, and sat down on the floor. Her eyes glinted with something bitter, she wouldn't have stayed back if it wasn't because of her family back at home. Charlotte was the daughter of a publicly known rich man of country A. Charlotte had lost her mother years back in an accident, the incident had left a scar on young Charlotte as she had witnessed the scene. Her mother's car had clashed with another car with a man and woman in it. She would have died on the spot also, but her mother had shielded her by covering he
Around midnight, after long hours of waiting, the rain finally settled into a drizzle. Charlotte was now seated on a chair with a stranger whom she still knew nothing about along the corridors. She stood up, with her small bag hung up on her shoulders "I think I'll take my leave now" she uttered Troy glanced at the lady, they didn't really say anything much to each other, he had been playing games on his phone and noticed that she dozed off a while ago but seemed to wake up several minutes after as she now stood on her feet, ready to leave. Troy stood up also "Okay, the rain has settled already" "Yeah, thanks for keeping me company," she said in utter appreciation, even though he hadn't said a thing during the period, it was still nice to have someone around and not stay alone. "Don't mention" "Aren't you leaving, also?" Charlotte asked "I'll leave later, not now" "Ohh... ok then, bye," Charlotte said and turned around before she left, she walked out of the company and made h
