CHAPTER NINE

Jenna’s POV

After what I said the room fell into silence and the temperature in the room dropped below average, I shivered when the chilly atmosphere hit my skin.

What is he going to say? Does he not like what I just said? Did he get offended? Or did he actually buy it instead of getting scared? Different thoughts filled my head as I wondered what was going on in the man’s mind.

“What trick are you playing?” I heard him rasp out after a long time and my body jolted in fear when his cold voice rang through the room and I wondered how someone could babe so much coldness in his voice.

“Trick? What trick? I wasn’t planning to play any,” I mumbled and I watched him hissed in disgust, probably wondering what I was up to but I couldn’t think of what to do.

Wasn’t I trying to scare him? Why was I the one getting scared? I wondered and my lips quivered in fear seeing that.

“If you are really that cheated how did you do that? I am curious,” he says, winking at me, and my legs weake
