Chapter 18 ____ The Betrayal

" Why are you doing this to me??"

I whispered, tears of betrayal forming in my eyes. After a long time, I really thought that someone actually had good intentions for me. But it was all proven a lie when Alex appeared in the spot, fully dressed like a villain. He had never left the town. He wanted to trap me in his evil game.

Alex stopped, upon hearing me. His eyes rested on me so cold and emotionless. I didn't see the sympathy in his eyes that he showed me in his office. He looked nothing less than a cold blooded monster. He sneered at me, growling,

" You think that I don't know, you are married to Ace King? I have known it from the beginning. That's why, you were there in my office, Sweetheart. Or else.. what do you think that I gave you the job?"

It broke my heart to know that he did everything for revenge. I thought that I was finally capable but it seems like, everyone just wanted to use me for their own sick game. Alex continued, hatred lacing ou
