I woke up to a pair of hazel eyes staring at me, small chubby hands on my body.

My heart was instantly filled with warmth, my arms spreading.

My beautiful boy launched into my arms, his eyes so big and adorable.

I kissed his forehead and smiled widely, hugging him close to me, "hey baby."

Christopher giggled in my arms, and when I finally released him, he was smiling widely. My adorable muchacho.

"Good morning, mommy. Why are you back so early?"

His quizzical expression and question reminded me of last night and the annoyance his father had put me through.
