Chapter 19

Riccardo's POV.

Maybe I should not have spoken to her that way. I should have tried to make her see reason and understand why I had to do what I did but then again Riccardo never explains himself, I have never done it and I won't start doing it now. Then there is the fact that she already thinks the worst of me—not that she is wrong— but what is the point in correcting her? I see no point actually so I just let it be.

Emilia woke up about thirty minutes before the plane landed. She refused to sit beside me and she sat beside Enzo. Aria was still attached to Raffaele— I am not sure how I feel about that but we will see.

The plane landed and we got out. We had a car waiting to pick us up from the airport and drive us home. I was surprised by Emilia's willingness to enter the car. She didn't struggle or grumble or anything. She just held Aria and entered the car. I sat down beside them at the back of the car. I noticed that Emilia moved over a little bit and drew an oblivious Aria clo
