Chapter 29

Willow stared at Theodore. He looked like a dream under the soft moonlight.

She felt a pang of pain when the night freeze caressed her face and inhaled sharply. Noticing that, he frowned and placed her in the car before holding her chin to inspect the wound.

"It's fine. I—"

"Don't move," he ordered, and she surprisingly listened.

He held her chin, his cold face just inches away. The cologne he wore reminded her of the passionate night they shared.

Gosh! What was she thinking?

"Use this to stop the bleeding. I'll send you to the hospital later." He gave her a handkerchief.

She collected herself and stammered, "U-Uh, okay."

Thinking she was in shock, he shoved the handkerchief in her hand and squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Don't be scared. I'm here. This will not happen to you again."

She was slightly taken aback.

Meanwhile, Clark's men had arrested Sonia and the driver, pinning them on the hood of the car.

"Let me go!"

"Stay still!"

Clark did not make a move against Quen
