85. A True Evil

As a child, the haunting tales Mom wove for us in the candlelit hours of the night were something I looked forward to. Stories filled with brave heroes and creatures of nightmares who sought to destroy castles and claim lives.

Little did I know then, the true monsters of this world are so much more terrifying than what the darkest depths of our imaginations could conjure up.

Before me stands a man – no, a monster who is a living manifestation of pure evil. His presence is far more ominous than any monster from a story. I don’t know how, but his eyes, cold and soulless, hold a malevolence that surpasses anything I have ever seen.

This evil being relishes in the suffering of others; he revels in it. He enjoys it.

Nefzaan is a sick, evil monster who needs to be destroyed.
