8. A clash of emotions

Freyja’s POV

As I entered into the green maze, my heart raced with a mix of determination and uncertainty. Away from Adam's watchful eyes, my only goal was to find an exit from this place, far away from the walls of the palace. Only then would I be free of my pack, just as I become free from the dragons. To do that, I have to succeed without being caught. If not, it would only put me in more problems.

The dragon prince had failed in his promise to help me escape from my pack, now I only have myself. I don't see why the Dragon Kingdom was any different. But of course, I couldn't hold any of this against him; I was a stranger in his world and he was a stranger in mine.

My pace quickened as I ran through the maze, my senses alert to every twist and turn. Time was of the essence; I knew that soon Adam would discover my deception and come to find me.
